Sometimes there is more to the story than just a pretty picture. This image was taken only minutes after enduring the worst weather I have ever photographed in. Sixty mph gusts with driving SAND and rain, thereafter turning to hail and sleet put both man and machine to the test. The camera was sealed in a Think Tank Hydrophobia cover and I in full rain gear with all drawstrings as tight as possible. I was the only lunatic to lay on the beach and take the full fury. Still I managed to pull sand out of places I never knew it could get into. The penguins honkered down and took it all in stride. Amazing creatures.

Love it Chas, the caked sand, the white caps and the green water in the BG are great.
