    40D, 1-400L @ 200mm, f6.3, 1/1600s, ISO 400, -1/3 EC.

    That's a really detailed image, Steve. You've gotten great dof on the face, and a lovely bg. Personally, I also like the tight crop. You might try lightening up the eye on the left side.

    Good looking portrait made powerful by the great eye contact. I tried a Shadow/Highlight adjustment opening up the shadows and toning down highlights plus adding 20 % midtone contrast. I then created a curves adjustment and pulled back on the highlights to lower contrast.

    I would suggest that getting the white neck ring completely in the image would have been preferable.

    You have received great suggestions for this image. I do like the detail and also agree about getting the neck ring in the image.

    Thanks for the comments and suggestions everyone. I do have room to include the whole neck ring. Don't know how I overlooked that.
    Robert, I'll go out on a limb and assume you're using something more advanced than PS Elements 3. I get your point on the suggestions though and will give them a look.

    Besides the suggestions, very nice image. I like the tight crop and the detail as well.
