    Taken on the 6th October 2007 in the Masia Mara with a Canon 20D and a 100mm - 400mm IS lens set at 380mm, ISO 200, f8 at 1/800 sec.

    One of my favorite birds Mark and you did a nice job with the focus, exposure and the composition. although it could be a little higher in the frame.. I would like to have see this at more of an eye level rather than photographing up but that is sometimes not possible. Beautiful blue sky too. Thanks for sharing !

    Very nice colors and eye contact. I agree with Judy's suggestions and would add that S/H might bring out some more details in the shadows.

    I've photographed lilac breasted rollers many times, and never get over what a beautiful and fantastically colored bird they are.
    This is a really nice capture, but I would suggest lightening the whole image by about 2/3 of a stop.

    Quite a beautiful bird and image. Perhaps a little S/H underneath the bird might improve it!!!!
