    Default Cecil The Night Watchman

Meet my little friend Cecil. Cecil is the night watchman who takes care of and watches over my Pops enchanted garden. He makes sure that everything is in order; keeping the peace among the flowers, the squirrels, and the birds. This afternoon he came to show me that he was starting to shed his old skin, and was replacing it with a new vibrant shinny coat. Cecil was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 macro lens with a 20mm extension tube.

    Image Solution:
focal length @ 105mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering / 1/125sec. - f/2.8 / exposure comp @ 0EV / ISO @ 200 / white balance @ cloudy / AF - Mode @ manual / color space @ sRGB / lighting solution - Nikon R1C1 wireless close up speedlight system; both light units set to minimum fill flash with a wide dispersal pattern with unit #1 porting a yellow gel filter; and unit #2 porting a green gel filter for a creamy, milky, cotton candy-like hue on the whites. / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / support platform – monopod assist /

    Comments greatly appreciated...

Hmmmm. Anybody seen Sammy lately? Cecil looks hungry.

Great capture of the shedding process! The details are beautiful!
