    Congratulations Krijn Trimbos
    Golden Eagle Display

During 1 day I was fortunate enough to work with this beautiful golden eagle individual. As I was trying out some shots from a wider angle with a predator/prey perspective (using a dead rabbit which was picked up at a local butcher). This eagle did something completely unexpected, it started to defend its prey screaming out loud, which resulted in this shot! I have several shots with a headturn towards the camera but this seemed more intersting with him looking/screaming into the distance focussing some attention at the environment as well. Taken under controlled conditions.

    C & C welcome

Great natural shot (even if you had to bati him with the rabbit!). Congrats on your win!

What a wonderful perspective...something we don't often get to see. And thanks for NOT including the dead rabbit!!!

Hey Krijn, congratulations on another IOTW! I must admit this is one of the weirdest bird photographs I know (and I mean that in a postive sense). The combination of the birds behaviour and the threatening sky really adds to the eerie feeling of the whole:eek:. Well done!
