    Here's another of my mushroom images from earlier this week. I liked the way they all seemed to be following the leaf across the surface of the log.

    Canon 40D, EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
    f6.3 @ 1/60th
    Daylight White Balance, Center-weighted metering
    E-TTL Flash set at -1 exposure
    Handheld, dappled sunlight
    Processed in ACR & CS3. Small crop, levels adjustment.

    Nicely composed Julie, you know; for a second there I thought they were brown eggs...I like the transition from the mushrooms to the brown leaf...good show...:cool:

    I was thinking the same thing as gus :-)

    Nice composition. Judging by the small holes in a few it looks like an animal was tasting them. Some puffball sp can get as big or bigger than bowling balls and they are eaten in some places before they go to spore of course.

    Hello Julie,

    I thought too that it was small eggs!!! I'm very impressed that those perfect spheres are mushrooms!!!

    Excellent compition and I like alot your title letting a special place to the leaf! Great exposition and point of view!!!
