The one at our left is Green-winged Teal, and at right Blue-winged Teal. I was thrilled to get a good comparo image of these two species. To the untrained eye they look quite similar, especially when you have a mixed flock with no breeding plumaged males. You can see a bit of the green speculum showing on the GWT. I tried a variety of crops and the pano was the only one I was happy with. I also toned down the reflections that were reaching down to the ducks' heads.

Thanks for posting this g-w / b-w teal comparison, Daniel. It's especially helpful to have this during the fall when you have mixed teal flocks with nonbreeding plumage. These comparison shots are hard to find in bird ID books, so keep 'em coming! I like the duckweed foreground too. Great capture.
