This juvenile semipalmated sandpiper was among several hundred feeding this morning at Weskeag Marsh, South Thomaston, Maine, along with a few adults. Many of the juveniles have already departed south, and most all will be gone within the next week or so.

Beautiful capture with very rich color and an over all feeling of beauty. I agree a little mor canvas at the bottom would really strengthen this lovely image. Stunning capture with low angle and great detail and exposure as well as a gorgeous BG. Really fine work Keith and thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Judy, Alfred, Carole. For the repost, I added some room at the bottom (tricky maneuver of borrowing and rotating from another image), and this seems to be better. What do you think?
