    Anita, I like the shadow and the insect but the rocks leave a lot of distractions. Perhaps there is a better crop here?

    I really like the positioning of the dfly & shadow. However, I agree with the distractions Jules sees. I suggest knocking down the brigthness around the edges, bringing up bright & contrast for the center, and I'd clone out the two little bits of stuff above the dfly's head, to take this concept into an even better photo.

    Tried a crop and some other adjustments....is this an improvement,at all? :)

    Hi Anita,

    I like the repost better because it has less distractions but the quality went down somewhat, you can see some artifacts now from the cropping.

    This was a tough situation with the light angle. This is probably the best you can do with the original.

    Thanks, Robert. Yes, I noticed belatedly that the quality wasn't as good. Had I started from scratch, maybe it would have looked better. I got lazy....just used the compressed jpeg....:( Hey, I just ordered my calibration stuff - The Color Eyes Display Pro w/DTP 94. Sure hope it helps me!!
