    hi cheryl! i can tell you from experience that the bigma performs better from f/8 to f/11. it preserves better detail at those settings.

    love your ycnh! the red eye is very nice. maybe would add just a bit to the bottom for his virtual feet. nice job!

    Thanks, Harold. BTW, just how long are the legs of the YNCH??

    Yes, my sharpest images with this lens are when I used F8. But I didn't know that at the time of this image.......
    always something to learn!

    Hi Cheryl Nice looking bird

    Did the histogram came out fine with the comp? Looks like it would have been a little under. Always rather have a cleaner bg but this works well. Crop wise I think the bottom is fine, I think you got enough room for the legs there !!!

    Excellent suggestions by Harold Tough stopping down that much with good light !!!

    cheryl, i cant find the info anywhere but i'd say 8-10". all the bird sites say "long legs", no specifics.
