Our shorebird migration here in Ottawa is pretty slow due to high waters, some plovers, sandpipers and yellowlegs due however stop and say Hi!

Fall colors are slowly creeping in providing nice water reflections.

PS: This one could of used some fill flash...but it was in my trunk :-(

    Hi Marc.

Beautiful color and lighting in this image and I like the reflection with the bill touching the water. IMO it could use a tad more sharpening and also this could work well as a horizontal with some cropping at the botton and top and perhaps a bit more canvas on the right. Very striking image and thanks for sharing.

I like the light as presented, Marc, maybe flash would have not been so good. It needs a very slight CW rotation, you can level the eye with the reflection for precision. I may have gone for a square crop with less room on top.
    Well done!

Interesting shot with the reflection of the YL adding to the pic., as well as the great BG colors.

Love the mood of this shot, I love the bill in the water and I love the color.

Magic light on the water. Very nice. I agree with the crop to a horizontal to see what that looks like.
