    this is my 3 posts on this forum. It's an American Goldfinch took last weekend.

    Nice crop and pose. This tells a story we often overlook, with both bird and flower being a bit past season.

    Hi Pierre, overall very nice. I would look at crop away about 2/3rds of the empty space at top for a more balanced composition. Also toning down the stem would be good here. Nice pose on the bird, with lots of room for it to stare into.

    P.S. don't be shy to critique others' images too ;-)

    Very pretty image with wonderful lighting and pose. Great eye contact and detail. A vertical crop would be an option for this image too. Thanks for sharing.

    I loke horizontal compo, but more room on the bottom would really help, probalby a pano format might work, if you don't mind I took the liberty to try it. Still, big congrats! Love it!
