I like it, it is an unusual pose and the composition is nice, it has a nice balance. It seems a bit dark on my monitor (I am at work) and maybe could use a bit more contrast.

Hey,Really nice job with exposure here to get the both the dark rock and the white bird correct. Gulls and Terns are my favorite group of bird and I love these wing stretch poses. I would probably have a little more room behind and in front of the bird, but this is just personal taste, I really liek the pic as is. Any chance you can send one oy these my way..hey I'd even settle for a Sandwich Tern.Dave Brown

Hi Lance Lots of good things in your image.

Agree on the solid exposure, obtaining as much detail as you did was not easy. I like the pose and bg !!! Agree on the little more room Fine image !!!

Like the pose a lot. Great exposure for the bird. Would have liked more canvas on the other side of the tail. Think a pano would look great.

Very nice composition, image and capture Lance...the details and colors are great. I would add canvas for more room on the tail, and at the top; so Mr. Bird has room to jump and not hit his head...:D:cool:

    Hi Lance,
Yes, maybe a little more room behind the tail, but really, with that background and the sky and clouds, and the contrast in the bird and detail in the rock... who's looking behind the tail? It's great! It doesn't appear dark on my monitor.
