Much better Mike. I like this image. Nice and clean and in the open. The background is not too busy. There is a little noise in the background which can be seen in the dark areas. Just a few points that need to be addressed. Composition wise; the flower should always have growing room in the direction that it is pointing. In your original post, the flower is too far to the left of the frame. I did a simple modification to illustrate this for you; by cropping from the top, right, and bottom; then I added canvas to the left, and cloned in an area of your background to fill it in. I gave you selective sharpening on the petals, opened up the mid-tones on the leaves, and lightened the center of your flower just a tad. see if this presents better...

thanks Gus, for the critique. i never knew that point about growing room. i'll use that tip.

but you know, my flower wasn't that far over on my computer screen. it appears a lot further to the left than in my original pic. maybe i put it up wrong, (me?? wrong??) i used 1000 pixels for width instead of my usual 800 because i thought that it was ok to do that so it probably came out bigger than my usual 800.

i'm sorry if i did it again (cause a problem)
