    Hi Folks,
Whooppee - a (very) temporary reprieve from DSL problems, so I'll get this sent before it drops again...:(

Hi, Nicki. I love the way this bird pops from the colorful background; it's a really interesting relationship between a kind of B/W subject and vivid surroundings. I'm undecided about the centered composition, so I'll be interested to read what others think.

Great bird and great BG Nicki. I might crop a bit off the left and the top on this one. I would also do a bit more sharpening on the head feathers. Congrats on a nice image!

Hi Nicki - strange looking Puffin ;)

Love the BG and the contrast between the bird and the BG

    Well done :)

    Hi All,
Thanks so much for your very kind comments. The reason that I chose this particular composition was to emphasize the BG rather than the bird and somehow, leaving the bird centered seemed to work for me. I know that this is not to everyone's taste!!
    Best regards,
    Nicki
