    This is a juvenile feeding on a willow. The adults peel these willows which weep and insects are entrapped in the sap.

    Great find, perch and exposure control. I would give it more room, especially at the bottom and sharpen the bird more.

    The tail is slightly clipped! If this is full-frame all you had to do with the zoom is pull it back a bit more than you already did :-) A good fill-flash candidate here...really would have helped with the darks especially in the lower part of the bird. Neat perch! Pretty good for 1/80s.

    Beautiful bird and congratulations on finding him. I agree it is a bit tight in the frame but love the excellent detail, eye contact and exposure. Many thanks for sharing.

    Lovely bird, perch, and BKGR. As above, needs more room all around esp. below. Could use a bit of sharpening on the face and a bit more contrast.
