    I like the composition and the pose of the cuckoo a lot but I suggest to tone down the BG just a little bit. Very nice image

    The light looks a bit harsh but I Iike the pose and composition!

    To tone down the BG is a great suggestion as the contrast between this and the bird will make the subject pop up even more, I am not crazy about the light angle but as the details are all there and the head is well lite I don't mind it. A bit more room at the bottom would be good too. Congratulaitons!

    Thanks for the comments - much appreciated. I agree the lighting is harsh but there was now't I could do about it, this was a once in a lifetime chance and I had to get what I was given. The light was very directional and strong and occasionally it went behind cloud, I will have a look at some other shots to see what I can do.
