    Hi,

Not sure how much I like this image, I do like the bg( unsure about the yellowish part on the left). The bird was somewhat side lit some that has caused a couple o fspots to look a bit hot maybe and shadow on the underside of the bird. Also, just seem like somethin is missing to me..is it too dark..

Dave, I would crop off the yellow edge on the left. Great feather details. If you think the image is missing a bit of something, have you tried upping the sharpness in the head especially, and the contrast, except in the red? Perhaps even desaturate the red and bright blue a bit so to make the gull stand out more. might try a little bit of clockwise rotation for the rail.

Hi Dave - Love the blue in the BG - Would fix the yellow on the RHS.

Looks like you point of focus may have been on the wing area and not the head - would try some additional sharpening on the head and the eye. Would selectively lighten the bird a bit.

I like the soft feel of the image. Wonder what is going on in the BG. The blue looks like a weird colour and the yellow strip on the side. Otherwise like the image.

Hi,The BG is actually a large ship that was docked on the other side of the Pier. I was using my car as blind and was trying to position myself to use the ship to give a nice blue BG, the yellow strip was a yellow strip from the ship. Maybe I'll come up with something better today ;) Thanks for all the replys.Dave Brown
