After getting up at 5am in Jersey.........I made it to Yellowstone in time for sunset.........but the real mission I was on was to start doing some more night stuff. I must admit........I'm addicted......so since I had a reasonably clear night........I tried a few. This is White Dome Geyser erupting at night.........Aquired with the Canon Mark 3 and the 17-40mm lens at 17mm for 30 seconds at f4.5 and ISO 6400. Additional Illumination provided with a halogen led headlamp. Noise Ninja applied in PP. Made it to bed around 3am .......Jersey time.....great fun but a long day. I am exploring some new ones in the next few days.......so I'll post them later.
As always.........comments welcomed and appreciated.

Wow, great job! Viewing a night time version of a geyser with a starry bg is a first for me. I agree with Robert with the dodging as my eyes were drawn to that area.
congrats on 2000!! awesome image! love the composition. i got a question in reference to the above two posts. why wouldnt you burn the left side to equal the right instead of opposite? it's night after all. it's already dark. just curious. thanks!
I was wondering the same thing, Harold. I would think you'd want to take it darker instead of lighter. The rest of the image is fantastic! I love when you do these night time images!
