This is about a 50% crop of a wild bird taken handheld from my car. I did the RAW conversion in Lightroom which I am trying out. Some nice features but slow on my PC. I warmed up the background which had been a nuetral grey.

    Hi Harold,

Love the light shinning through the tail, only wish the top wing was fully extended,as I'm sure you do too.
The warming you did looks very nice with the bird coloring and great underwing detail :)

I agree, I like the crop. Gosh, excellent photo. Great backlight (tail!) almost balanced with pretty darn decent front lighting.

So if someone twisted my arm I would constructively ask, can you get more light / color in the talons?

Or improve the contrast on the eye to make it pop more?

    ~Both more post processing oriented.~

Really grasping. Beautiful capture of a bank-turn of an excellent specimen of a red tail.
