Due to a leak on the Internet we got our hands on some information about a new Leica SLR camera. And it not only concerns a new SLR, it includes a brand-new digital photographic system as well, the Leica S-system. The Leica S2 will be the first DSLR camera in the new S-system, boosting 37 Megapixel of resolution.
I wonder if they will also come up with a digital version of their R cameras. A digital R10 with a 18 MP full frame sensor would be great for all who currently own expensive Leica glass.
Beside this the new system looks great. No use for birds but probably great for landscapes.
But they will need more lenses. I would love to see hiqh quality zoom lenses.
I fear the price will be beyond most photographers (definitely beyond me, no matter how good it may be).
