    Taken at Butterfly World in Coconut Creek Florida.
    Nikon D200
    Nikon 18-200 VR Lens

    I was amazed at this shot because it was difficult to capture (on camera) the hummingbirds do to their fast speed, and not to mention all the people there.

    Let me know what you think.
    The background is a combination of leaves, small flowers, and the enclosure screen.

    The bright spots in the BG can be a bit distracting, especially given their size vs. that of the hummer. The hummer looks good with a nice "pose of him looking upward." You might try to smooth out the bright spots and I think this would be even nicer and easier to view if it were larger.

    I'm with Lana on here advice the bird does have nice details alittle eye contact would of been nice. Thanks for sharing......

    Hi Dan,

    I know that place very well. As Lana said, the white dots are a huge distraction. The perch is also not ideal as the right side distracts from your composition. You want to photograph these little guys at eye level, if you look closely, you can find few at the perfect perch and with the perfect BG. Just take your time and you'll find one!

    I have to go back to that place!!
