Here's a little something to go along with Michael's Daytime Moon. I don't usually post cloud photos but this one really seemed to "pop" last night.

    Canon 40D, EF 70-200mm @ 100mm
    f14 @ 1/400th, ISO 200
    Handheld, Evening light

Processed in ACR & CS3. Levels, curves adjustments; small crop.

Well seen & made. Liked those rays from between those heavy clouds.

Good composition Julie on this one. I like having the rays coming from outside the image.

Would also make a good B&W image.

    Hi Julie,
For a simple cloud image..........this is very dramatic. Agree with Robert that it would make a very nice B&W also. I might be tempted to make it a bit more of a pano crop........about 1/2 the area above the clouds..........but either version works for me just fine. Very nicely done!

Hey guys, I tried the plain black & white and it felt a bit flat so I tried an action that has a brown "chocolate" filter to it and came up with this. Thanks for the suggestion!
