Juvenile Crested Caracara - S.W Florida

This one from Yesterday PM. I used my car and a dirty T-shirt as a bean bag (Not recommended :)). The only thing that bothers me is the broken feather.... These birds don't know how to take care them self.... :)

    Canon 40D, 500mm L @ f/5.6, 1/2000 sec, ISO 400, RAW, Car as a blind, T-shirt as bean bag, Almost full frame.

    Thanks!

Beautiful light, I need to get out the house this weekend, SR-70 seems like a good option.

There's something about a bird on a fence post that is nostalgic to me. Such a great wing spread....and head turn . This is as good as it gets....even with the one feather that's broken. Sure gives it a "real feel".
