This fellow was flying just a few yards from my cottage at Estero Beach, half an hour after a nasty storm; just before dark. He was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5 - f/5.6G. VR

    Image solution:
    focal length @ 200mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering / ISO @ 500 / 1/320sec. - f/5.6 / white balance @ auto / AF - mode @ dynamic range, auto - continuous / color space @ sRGB /lighting solution - no speedlight, ambient light / exposure comp @ +0.3EV / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ +1 degrees / support platform - no tripod, hand held /

Hi Gus, I love the color and texture and the HA is okay with me as it fits the contemplative mood.

Gus know flight ...... :) Excellent Really like the flight images with a good light as you get late, early or storms !!! Fill flash would have taken this over the top I'm fine with the head angle these guys need to be looking ahead :)

    Thank you Mr. Forns,
I know fill flash would have punched it up; but I saw these guys coming from the distance; and ran to the room for the camera didn't think about the flash...lucky to get one of the last ones...anyway, promise the next time I will be ready....I was so excited, due to the fact that I did not see not even a single bird for days, I did not realized that I could have used the on board speedlight of the camera...:o:D:cool:

I'm glad to see you posting some bird pics again. Not saying I didn't enjoy your flowers!!!!!!!!!!!
Great capture my friend, can't wait til it starts cooling a little and the birds returning.
    Was fun yesterday at Vizcaya.
