    I made this image earlier this morning and the blue water was nice but I felt called to try a b&w conversion because the reflection was just so darn perfect. I ended up with a really flat image, though, because the blue water converted to one solid shade of gray.

    So...I took the b&w layer and made a duplicate layer (Ctrl/Cmd "J") and changed that to screen mode layer. I brought the opacity down a bit and then started burning and dodging to get various layers of grays into the mix. Finally, I threw an ethereal glow action over the top to make the whole thing look like it was suspended in a heavy fog.

    Neat and very graphical. You don't need a whole lot to make an effective image :)
