    This image was made many moons ago out on the Hooptie Deux in Tampa Bay. We were closing in on the end of the "peak" season, but there are always great opportunities. I haven't been able to get out in quite a while, but I hope to soon. I've got some new toys to put to the test :D

    Thank you so much for your support and encouragement over the past few months. I received several emails that were very timely and helpful to me.

    Nikon D300 | Sigma 300-800 @ 600mm | Gitzo 1410 legs with Wimberely II head
    Manual Exposure | 1/640th @ f/6.3 | ISO 800 | No noise reduction

    The water droplet is the icing on the cake for an already fine image Blake! Just what are these new toys anyhow?

    Missed you, Blake. What a great return. Love the composition and how you do not have the bird jammed in the frame. The space adds mood, in my opinion.

    Hi Blake - love it - that water drop is the icing on the cake.

    I love my sigmonster - just gets a bit heavy to cary around.

    Beautiful image and composition Blake. Love the lighting and excellent detail as well the beautiful pose. We definitely have missed you and look forward to what you will post in the future. Always great to have new toys < smile >
