    great focus on the face, and head angle! Was this taken toward the middle of the day? Like one of my previous images this week, on my monitor it looks like the light was too high to illuminated under the wings and it also created overexposed whites on the tail.

    looks like you had light coming from behind making it difficult to properly expose the entire bird, without a flash. it is a lot easier to shoot with your shadow pointed at the bird in some soft light. love your compo here and the wing pose is really nice! may give it another round of sharpening.

    Agree with Oscar on his comments. Just would like to see the lighting on the tail toned down a bit.

    Agree with Harold's comments. I would also think a bit more room on the left should improve this image, too.

    Great comments !!! Fully agree with all !!!

    Flash would have been great but don't think it would have been effective at the shutter speed. !!! Softer light was the solution !!! Excellent !!
