    to photograph, but they sure are beautiful!! i dont know what it was about them. i found it really challenging to make them look right. gotta get everything on the right plane i guess! marbled godwit from the hooptie trip.

    great angle! were you lying on the ground?
    love the sharpness and details, even the drop at the end of the beak!

    Hi Mr H - Very very Nice, nice pose, nice HA - Sharp - exposure is good.

    I feel it needs some CCW rotation.

    Good lighting and details! Looks like can use some rotation, as Lance has pointed out.

    I'm wondering about the what's happening to the water in the background though. Is it noise? I found some of my shots are like that, too. Been puzzling me for a while. Overall a good photo of the bird. And I found them hard to photo, too.

    Impressive Harold Love the feel and pose bg wise noise is always more apparent in darker areas Big Congrats !!!

    thanks for the comments!! cheryl, i was in the water sitting down. as for the CCW rotation, in the original there was enough room at the bottom to see the reflection of the beak tip. i straightened going beak to beak. normally works perfectly. please correct me if that is not the best action when there is no horizon line. thanks!!

    Excellent composition H, also the lighting is beautiful on the bird.
