Major out migration in Newfoundland lately, warblers are getting very scarce. I can't believe that I've resorted to photographing Juncos already. I've noticed that I've been losing some sharpness and overall definition on my images that I post here so I tried something different. I've been using Paint Shop Pro Phot X2- I tried this time using save for office( I think the equivilent to save for web in PS) but still the file is only 68.5 KB?? The bird had much more definition in Paint Shop, especially the lesser and median coverts.Still working on the processing. Would I retain the definition if the image was closer to 200KB?? Can anyone offer an advice?

I might have answered my own question... Just figured out how to change compression value.

Hi Dave - love the BG - pose and head angle looks good. Bird looks sharp. Some possibly Dust cloning marks RHS of the perch.

Nice - cant wait to see more.:)

Good position on the bird; clean, sharp image, good background. Definitely a very beautiful portrait of a slate-colored junco.
There are also small smears along the edge of the bird's back and nape.

Agree with comments made, might sharpen the eye a little as it looks to me that the focus was down lower on the bird.
    Very delicate looking, very beautiful.
