In southwestern Alberta, this hawk came for another look but not as close as the first photo, I like this angle and lighting better than first photo posted...cropped from 14 x9....
to 6 x 4...if I tried cropping any more photo is grainy....does this work or is hawk small in image...

The light is nice Paul, as is the sharpness and pose. Underwing detail is excellent. I'd like a tighter crop and a little more detail around the eye. Nice job!

Great underwing details and pose. I wish the sun would have been behind you for a catchlight and would run NR on the BG.

While a closer view of this wonderful pose would be great to get, this image is still nice. I would lighten the eye area a bit and run noise reduction on the sky.

Lovely underwing detail and agree with all above, esp. the need for more detail in the face and eye. That area could be improved with good PS technique. Lastly, you might try reducing the intensity of the blue sky by going to the Blue channel in HUE-SAT and reducing the SAT 10-20 points.
