I've been trying to get a dragon fly for months and this is the first one that was nice enough to pose for me :D.
Is this a dragon fly?

Yes its a Dfly Alberto !!!!! Glad you connected with one !!!
This fits in perfectly for he motif !!!! If you know the behavior they are easy to photograph !!! One thing they do over and over is return to the same stick in the same position. Just stay set up and you will nail them. As presented you need more light on the bug so the head is clear with detail, also posing parallel to the film plane will bring the entire tail in focus !! This guys are fun keep after them !!!
I think if you did lighten up the eye area and first part of the body and a little bit of sharpening on the eye it would be great. Nano mm's from being a fabulous picture in IMO. BG to die for. Really like it.
Congratulations Alberto, Yes indeed you got him. I like the composition, agree with Mr. Forns on the techs. patience, patience, just keep after them. position yourself in the ideal spot and waite till he comes back; just like the bees...good show....proud of you...:):D:cool:
