    Default Three Amigos

Late evening shot at Bosque when there with a buddy (Bob Ettinger) the 1st week in December. This was a few days after I got my D3 and was giving it a test trying various AF settings and ISO's. Fun camera, fun place and good company, it was my first time at Bosque.

    Nikon D3, 500mm AF-S, x1.4, ISO 1600, f5.6, 1/640, Gitzo 3530LSV, Wimberley II Head

You did a good job and so did nature with the colors. You were a great partner even if you did "steal" my images :p

I love silhouette shots. This one works for me nicely. Love the parallel movements of the cranes.

    That is one beautiful sky!!!
I like the separation between them, not crazy about the first one's wing position, but if he didn't cooperate...:)

The position of the clouds is perfect!

Great colors in the sky. It's too bad the third bird didn't have the same exact wing position as the other two, but it's still a killer image with the light in here.

Great light in the BG. I just wish for a different wing position of the bird on the right.

The colors are....well Bosque terrific. The formation is great but I like the sharpness of the cranes against that beautiful sky. The D3 seems to be doing an excellent job!!!

Very nice silhouette, George! I like the colors in the sky and patterns of the clouds. I also like the composition with the birds placed perfectly in the frame.
