    At the Everglades. Taking with D2H and 600/4 w 1.4x. f8@1/2000, iso 200, exposure comp -2/3.

    Light didn't help you here, and neither did its angle. Good pose and fish a bonus. You may try an inverse curve to reduce contrast.

    Agree with Fabs re the difficult light, Rick. Image looks soft - not sure if it is a big crop or the relatively low pixel count of the D2H - may be just a sharpening issue.

    I think that with a better image job of image optimizaation that this image has potential. I like the wing position and the fish and it looks to be sharpen-able. As the bird's right eye is partially shaded (towards the front) using a QM to lighten the iris would add greatly to the impact.
