    That's close Chas! Great detail captured on the head. I like it as is, but am curious how this would look a bit wider. Further I would clone out some of the small brightspots caused by the flash to make it look more natural, also in the eye, except for the bigger centre one.

    Yep.....that's a closeup.....no privacy for this one. I really like the detail. I, too would probably clone/tone down some of those bright spots. For some reason, there seems to be noise in the eye.....funny that I would notice it but I guess we all start by looking for a sharp eye. Well done.....and I love your personal avatar.

    Yep--need to clean that eye.
    Carried away by color--I usually(but apparently not always) look at the eye closely.
    Thanks folks for pointing that out. My workflow needs a check list.

    Amazing colors and light. This image need more room for sure but what a great looking Blue Jay.
