This one from last weekend. Wonder what you guys think about this image.... does it work?

    Comments are welcome.

    Canon 40D, 500mm L @ f/5.6, 1/1600 sec, ISO 400, RAW, Handheld, Slightly cropped to help composition.

    Thanks!

Maxis the light, the BG, the detail and the angle rock! I am not to sure what to think about the pose. On the one hand yes it is a nice behavioral image, on the other hand because of the pose this is not a wall hanger... Whether it 'works', depends on what your purpose is/was. Definitely a keeper IMO.

I agree to everything Vincent write except that this is not a wall hanger. I much more prefer a behavioral picture, both on the computer and on my wall instead of the classical boring pose.....

    This is perfect....

    Maxis,
I like it a lot, the low angle and light are amazing. Was this at Estero?

    Hi Adam,

I suppose you've become a diver, otherwise it's just impossible to get this low angle to take this fantastic image :)

The only hing I could wish for is the pose - I miss the eye contact a bit.

It works for me, and it works great! Light, BG, colours and pse are superb, you might try to tone down the whites just a very little bit. Congratulations!

I really love the dead space on the right, especially given the birds posture, I'd hang it

    Una foto diferente Maxis.
Yes, I like this one since it is different. Very good light and clean BG, great job.

Lovely light, great background, nice detail and composition... but the pose doesn't do it for me. It's all a matter of personal taste.

The image is outstanding and I personally LOVE unusual and interesting poses. This totally works for me; not only do a like it from a technical standpoint, but it conveys "serenity" and "fragility" to me as well.
