I think it is possible to edit your first post and attach the file there. That way forum browsers will see the thumbnail, as there is none at the moment the thread won't look very inviting. I like the pose of the bird. Such odd names; I at first thought it was just a scientific name. To me it seems you've applied a glow effect on the main subject - either that or excessive editing or strong backlighting. This is particularly noticeable on the crest. It doesn't appeal to me. And I think the image could be a bit more sharper, such as the left eye which really should be focused.

This is a nice "in your face" image. I like the composition and the details. From the techs it looks like you were at your limits being hand held but I think just a bit more DOF would have helped.
