    Default Bosque Pheasant

Dave V is posting some great Bosque stuff these past few days. It just so happens that I've spent the last several days down there with Artie Morris and a group of hard-working volunteers doing some clean-up work. I did manage to take a couple of photos and this Ring-Necked Pheasant is one of them. Monday morning was spectacular with a low-lying shroud of mist covering much of the Bosque. This pheasant appeared through the mist and I photographed it from my car (wish I'd had a BLUBB and a little more light). I did a reasonable amount of PS work to eliminate the mist.

I like the striding pose and look back in this one. I'd love to go to Bosque sometime.

Nice work, Doug, given the circumstances! There seems to be a magenta cast as evident on the gravel.

I was gonna comment on the magenta cast too. Looks like this individual was a little roughed up on the neck area? Great look-back and the striding pose is neat!

I reviewed several RAW files, some of which had mist and some of which didn't. This was the color of the ground.
