    Taken as the sun neared the horizon today.

    D300 with 80-400 at 330mm, f5.6, 1/2000, iso 640, ev -0.67

    What a lovely light you had here David. I like the poses and the framing a lot as well and the wild blond manes of the mare. More DOF would have been nice to get the fowl tack sharp as well, but obviously that was a trade off with the BG.

    Agree with Vincent on this one. More DOF to get the colt in focus would have been my choice and then blurred the BG later in PS.

    Ah, what a sweet image, David! The light is wonderful, and any softness to me looks fine - kinda adds to the sweetness of the image.

    I agree w/ Anita. The slight softness adds to the feel of the picture and helps create the scene

    Nice intimate portrait David. The foal's eye could maybe use a tweak of sharpness but the overall image looks ok to me.
