    Default Western Grebe

At the local marina there are a few Western Grebes hanging about. Its a kind of neat photo opportunity as you can walk out on the docks and get really close. The challenge is getting a shot in water that is not a boats reflection ;)

    Camera Model: Canon EOS 30D
    Shutter speed: 1/250 sec
    Aperture: 8
    Exposure mode: Av
    Exposure compensation: -1/3
    Flash: On @ -1
    ISO: 320
    Focal length: 500mm f/4 IS
    Almost full frame....

Excellent image Glenn. The reflection works very well with your composition and the eye is very nice as well!

Great portrait, details and exposure control. I might give it a bit more space on the bottom.

Weird that there is no thumbnail.

Excellent exposure Glenn....however I really would have liked to see a lower shooting angle.

Very nice portrait, Glenn. Lots of detail. Would also like to see a lower angle.
