    This young kingfisher was still learning to fish and didn't catch anything....youngsters have a lot to learn.
    I dedicate this picture to the newborn child of Jeroen Stel a boy called Laurens Marijn. Jeroen i like to congrat you and you’re wife and enjoy the moment because time passes by very fast.


    Olympus E3, Zuiko ED300 f2.8, Zuiko 2.0 converter, 600mm focuslenght, 1/500sec, F8, ISO320, -0.3 stop

    Alexander, great image. That Olympus lens with the 2x is one sharp combo!

    Excellent shot, Alexander. Light is lovely, BG complementary and perch lovely. Only comment I can make is maybe removing the bright spot on upper part of the bill and the lower catchlight in the eye - lovely image

    An all around beautiful image. Light,comp,BG and perch all work together.

    Great perch, details, head angle and BG. I might add a bit more room at the bottom.

    The perch, the colors, sharp, crop, and everything else, makes this one excellent. More than that, it is unque.
