This shot was taken a few days ago at the Sepulveda Basin in the San Fernando Valley, and I really like the look of concentration in the birds eye. I'm glad to have found this forum, because bird photography is one of my greatest joys in life, and it would be great to meet others with the same passion, who shoot locally in the L.A. area.
Thanks Jason. I wish I had more space at the bottom of the image, but this happened so fast that I am happy just to have the bird in focus. I was sitting on a park bench and the bird regularly dives about 15 to 20 feet in front of the bench, a good place for me to hang out...
