    Always nice to get one of the nice mature, well colored ones to pose for you!

    Canon 1DsMII, 600mm f/4L, f/4, 1/4000, 0 EV, off tripod at ground level - Face down in the smelly mud at Ding Darling.

    Thanks guys! He put on a good show for me this morning.

    Artie - Ding Darling this morning just after opening (about 8 AM or so). Third lagoon, to the right of the tower...but before the water flow area. It's about the only spot you can sneak down and lay in the mud over there.

    You had alot of light at that time! (1/4000 @ ISO200). Super nice image, the colours are very appealing and that falling drop is the icing on the cake :-)

    Fantastic image with such terrific BG. Love the smooth transition between rich, deep dark blue and light blue. The bird colors are nailed and with just the right amount of saturation. terrific low angle, eye contact, head turn and pose. The cristal clear water drop against the creamy background is the ice on the cake. Very, very goos Bob

    the water drops and the bg are spectacular!!!, but i think i might prefer the one you posted today just a bit more!! would love to have either in my files!!

    I like everything about this one. Gorgeous subject, wonderful light and perfect pose. The darker blue water at the top really sets off the pinks beautifully.
