EOS-1D Mark III - EF 70-200 f/2.8 USM (non IS). ISO 400. ISO 400 f/8 @ 1/800 Sec. Full frame eff. focal length 130mm. Humpbacks are loved for their surface activity. The blow and tail display are obvious elements. What I call emerald glow is caused by light reflected from white pectoral fins as seen through Stellwagon's plankton rich water. Actually there are 3 whales in the photo. Only the glow of the 3rd is seen. This is a mother and calf pair accompanied by a consort - a female who hangs around with the pair. Enjoy C & C welcomed.

I lie the blow and the tail's positioning but more room in front of them would have given you a better Rule of Thirds positioning. Exposure looks good without any hotspots and the emerald glow is very cool. Thanks for explaining what causes that.
