I took this a couple of weeks ago. I added the the thistle in the bottom corner.
    40D
    100mm
    f5.6
    ISO 200
    1/400 s
    AV mode
    Auto WB
    -2/3 EV

Cropped. I am not sure if I am getting chroma noise in the middle of the wasps' body.
Any suggestions on how to improve it would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

I like it a lot jackie Very good angle and lots of detail on the head Also like the corner addition Excellent PS work The lighter area right behind the insect is not hurting all that much since its tone down Big Congrats !!!!

Excellent capture Jackie, I like it very much. See if you like the selective sharpening on the bee and a tiny bit of contrast and saturation boost...
