    Taken at Veligandu Island, Maldives, whilst celebrating my wife's 40th birthday.

    Classic pose with good sharpness Marc! Angle of light is less than ideal and some of the whites look a little hot on my monitor. Wish your wife a happy birthday!

    I agree about the light angle - some fill flash would have helped with the shadows here and helped put "life" into the eye. There is a dark halo along the back of the neck (perhaps as result of post-processing). Outdoors is a good way to spend any birthday! :-)

    I agree about the dark halo around the neck. I like a lot the pose of the bird and the background and love the light.

    Nice composition and sharpness. The dark halo at the neck will be easy to remove in PS. Do wish for a better light angle though. Happy Birthday to your wife!
