    Default Wild Foal at Sunrise

This young foal walked out of some bushes not far in front of me just as the sun rose. His mother was nearby, of course, and he quickly bounded away to join her. They are relatively used to me, and often allow me to hang around for awhile. He's about three months of age.

    Hi David,
I like the spotlight effect you got here. The BG color adds to the cool morning feel. Cute little guy.

Good looking spotlight on him. Would have been nice to capture it w/o the shadow on the nose. You could try to lighten that part up to better match the tonality of the head.

Cute little one. I can't quite get a handle on the lighting. I agree with Robert that lightening the shadow may improve the tonal balance.

I really think this is a beautiful picture. I love the light and the eye contact.

Nice image David, it is one of those photos that horse lovers go wild about. Whatever took place as the sunrise happened worked well here. I agree with the dark nose, but as Robert stated, it would be an easy fix. I was looking at the possibility of making this a square print, saving all of the image on the right side.
    Best,

Thanks for the additional comments and suggestions. I had not considered a square print, but it is certainly worth looking into.
