another pelican from the hooptie deux trip in tampa. this is a juvenile pelican. you can tell by the lighter, smooth belly. this is the original sky. didnt really like it, but tried the entire tonal range of sky colors and couldnt find one better.

    D300, Bigma at 270mm, f/7.1, 1/2500s, -1.0EV, ISO 500

thanks for looking and comments and critiques are appreciated!!

    Nicely done Daktari,
I like the flight angle and wing position. You display razor sharp details and good color rendition, love the baby blue sky...congrats...

Looks very sharp, Harold! Glad to see the bigma works for you. If I may nit pick though, it would be the overlapping of the beak and the left wing ;)

Harold didn't you said you needed a flight lens ......... :) Nice one.

I like the way he is looking right at the camera, must be one of those Capt Darth has trained !!! Could only wish for the other wing to be fully up !!! Excellent !!!

Hey Mr H - looks fine to me, agree about the bill and the wing - but still lovely details on the front wing. I would probably play around with the eye a little bit and see if I could improve it a little.

    Nice Job.

Great capture H. Looks like the Bigma hasn't let you down at all. Don't know what you were complaining about??
    Nice and sharp.
    Regards,
