    Got this pic of a preening female Northern Pintail yesterday. It's kind of an unusual angle, i'm not sure if it works. I'd be interested to hear what others think.

    Canon 30d, 300mm f4
    f5.6 at 1/200 sec -2/3 ISO 500

    Nice pose, angle and eye contact. I would sharpen the bird some more and apply some CW rotation and give it a bit more room at the bottom.

    Nice pose captured Dave I think it could use some more sharpening I think you grabbed more focus on the body of the duck and not the head. Alittle more PS
    work can take care of it. Well Done!

    Repost is much better Dave. The head angle is good, but I wish the duck's body had been more horizontal to the camera so that the tail were not so oof. Very good composition. beautiful water colors and nice low perspective.
