    Default Redbud Blur

The subject is a Oklahoma Redbud Tree. An orchard of them are planted in the grounds of the Oklahoma City National Memorial in an area known as the Rescuers' Orchard. See http://www.oklahomacitynationalmemorial.org/index.php for more info on the memorial.

This day in April was quite blustery lending itself to intentional blurs of the trees handheld with a slow shutter speed. Comments welcome.

The feeling of motion is lovely as is the softness created by the blur. Colors are also very pleasing. I suspect this is hard to do well! And you HAVE done it well.:)

I don't usually like all over blurs but this one has great color and pattern to it. I could see using this as a texture layer in a floral photograph...

What I like most about this is the "subject" in the lower left thirds position. How did you create the blur or is the blur from the wind?

    Artie,

Blur was caused by a very strong gusting wind. I originally cropped this to the left third portion of the image as I felt that was the strongest part of it graphically but decided to post it full frame to see if I got any recommendations on cropping.

Thanks for the feedback. I went back to my other crops and now realize why I went with the full frame - it feels lacking without the right half.
